RVX-208 is a novel small molecule therapeutic that facilitates endogenous ApoA-I production for the treatment of atherosclerosis. To the Company’s knowledge, RVX-208 is the only novel small molecule that is specifically designed to increase ApoA-I production and thereby raise HDL levels thus enhancing HDL functionality to augment reverse cholesterol transport.

Only a small fraction of people who have cardiovascular disease are taking proper medications to addresses their illness. It is our belief that ApoA-l technologies are the next class of drugs which could revolutionize the way that cardiovascular and vascular diseases are treated in the future.

Resverlogix has successfully completed a Phase 1a clinical study which demonstrated that RVX-208 is safe, tolerable and has favorable pharmacokinetics.  RVX-208 is currently in a Phase 1b/2a clinical trial which will continue to examine safety and tolerance as well it is a proof of principle study for ApoA-I production and HDL functionality.
